Case Study: On the Wave
The objective of On the Wave was to develop multiple elements that instruct, educate, and inspire the consumer with product and information about a particular social or environmental topic. The packaging was to be designed for the consumer as they pertain to the importance of the topic.

On the Wave upholds an environmental responsibility and was designed to sell a lifestyle and experience. On the Wave assembled this kit for anyone seeking an adventure and in the need of the basic surf necessities. Cool and warm water wax is included, along with a customized map, disposable camera, towel, tote bag, postcards, lotion, sunscreen, and a journal with notes about the different beaches disguised as a message in a bottle. The packaging is 100% recyclable with reusable items.

Message in a bottle: This one-of-a-kind journal has dedicated pages for each beach pinned on the surf kit’s map. Each double-sided page features a lined section for writing and fun facts about its beachy destination.

The durable canvas tote bag, features the stylish logo, and holds everything you need for to start your coastal adventure.

The oversized beach towel comes with a unique band showcasing a fun California cutout.

With changing seasonal ocean temperatures along the California coast, this kit includes both warm and cold surf wax, and a scraper, to keep your board ready for any conditions.

What better to capture your surf trip with a fun, disposable camera.

This postcard set showcases each beach stop along your journey—making it easy to share your surf adventures with friends and family.
